VIOlight Saber
VIOlight Saber is a portable direct UVC disinfection device that is very effective for surface disinfection. It is designed to deactivate viruses, bacteria, mold & fungi in spaces where traditional fixed UVC fixtures cannot be used. It is the prefered disinfection device for applications where a permanent UVC installation is not a practical solution & can be used to reduce or eliminate pathogens in spaces that do not need constant exposure to UVC light.

VIOlight Saber, comes in 2 variants – Regular and Large.
Saber Regular, a portable direct uvc disinfection wand weighs 0.9kg with 16w of UVC output and comes in white & grey powder coated finish.
Saber Large, a portable direct uvc disinfection wand weighs 1.2kg with 20w of UVC output with a protective wire mesh for safety and comes in blue & red anodized finish.
The Saber emits 253.7nm of light also known as germicidal UVC. As a Portable direct UVC disinfection device, it is very effective in disinfecting surfaces that are hard to reach as well as high touch surfaces that require frequent disinfection. Common environments include restaurants, offices, factories, laboratories, hospitals, dental clinics, medical facilities and many more.
VIOlight Saber comes with lightweight extruded aluminum single piece body with high quality powder coated / anodized finish, UVC On/Off safety switch, Tool-free & easy to change lamp, focused reflector designed to maximize UVC output at 6” distance from surface and an oversized handle to maximize grip comfort.
Do not expose skin or eyes directly to UVC light. Ideally the Saber should be operated in un-occupied room / space or at least 10’ away from people or animals
This Handheld UVC device is maintenance free apart from regular cleaning of the lamp & reflector. The UVC lamp has a life of 9000 hours. Please contact VIOlight for replacement of the lamp or more information.

Safety Precautions
- THE SABER MUST BE USED BY A TRAINED OPERATOR.
Safety glasses & gloves provided should ALWAYS be worn AT ALL TIMES when using the VIOlight Saber. - DO NOT ATTEMPT to operate the VIOlight Saber when people & animals are present and might directly exposed to the UVC light. It should be ideally operated when there are no other people or animals at least 10ft around the
surface being disinfected. - POINT the VIOlight Saber directly at the surface/object to be disinfected without any interference.UVC RADIATION CAN CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGE TO SKIN AND EYES IF EXPOSED. In case of accidental exposure please turn off the VIOlight Saber immediately
and consult with a medical doctor.
Operating Instructions
- VIOlight Saber is recommended to be positioned at a distance of 6 inches from the surface to be disinfected for high-level disinfection. However it can be moved down up to 2 inches from the surface for higher intensity of UVC.
- Point the VIOlight Saber towards the area to sterilize and then TURN ON the power.
- For effective disinfection move the VIOlight Saber slowly over the surface to be disinfected.
- Expose the area to be disinfected to VIOlight Saber from 2 seconds to 2 minutes depending on the pathogens to be inactivated. Different pathogens are susceptible to UVC radiation at different rates. To determine time needed for disinfection please refer to the DOSAGE CHART recommendations.
